If you want to go for an easy hike with spectacular views of the city and its surroundings - Gangsåstoppen is the place to go! There are several starting points on Gangsås or Stangnes, but the easiest route starts at Åsby. Drive to the Shell gas station in Kanebogen (3.5 km south of Harstad center) and then 200 meters north to Gamle Stangnesvei . Then there is upward marked track toward the parking lot. The view is 360 degrees from the top, and here it is also a country shelter free for everyone to use!  Have a nice hike!
