About

Get a panoramic view of Harstad in addition to a spectacular view of our fjords and mountains.

Meeting point: at the parking lot at Gangsåstoppen. From there we'll head straight into the forest along a narrow path and on our way to the top we'll have a few short breaks in places that will already give us a taste of what awaits us at the top.

We reach the top at 200 meters above the sea after about 30-45 minutes of easy hiking, where we have a well-earned break. The guide will tell some stories about the town and the area surrounding us while you can enjoy the panorama view from the gapahuken (local shelter) on top.

Good hiking shoes and clothes according to the weather are needed. Also have a look at our clothing recommendation for Northern-Norway.

The track leads us through varying terrain with some steeper passages. The track itself is a mixture of rocks, earth and some roots that can be slippery.

We also recommend you to bring something warm to drink and a small snack.
