HIGHASAKITE // Bakgården 2023

About

Our Norwegian, fantastic superstars in HIGHASAKITE recently played a completely raw concert for Bakgården LIVE. Did you miss it? Fear not – you'll get another chance when the band returns to this year's Bakgårdfestival on Saturday 19 August!

HIGHASAKITE is one of Norway's most popular bands. And rightfully so! Hardly any other band has shaped Norwegian music in the last ten years like them. They have their very own musical sound, which they powerfully convey with convincing genuineness and distinctiveness. The band's combination of musicality, artistic ambitions and will makes every Highasakite concert a unique experience.

The band has had a busy concert year with their latest and highly acclaimed album, Mother, as a new addition to the already hit-packed set list. NRK P3 states that the band "...has helped define the sound image of an entire generation" and Dagsavisen writes that Mother is an album that "...takes care of what has become Highasakite's trademark; catchy pop music, performed with eccentric features that set them apart from the crowd".

Aftenposten highlights Ingrid Helene Håvik's "songwriting talent as a leading star" as well as Trond Bersu's production, and emphasizes the band's position as one of the country's strongest pop bands. The words of praise have also not been few after this summer's festival performances, where, among other things, Adresseavisen referred to Highasakite as "Masterful!" and that they "delivered a rare live show". Highasakite is one of Norway's most important bands, and is behind some of the best pop songs of all time made on Norwegian soil. Now you finally get to experience the rawest festival show in our Backyard! It's just to be happy!
