Hiking

Harstad is a Mecca for outdoor enthusiasts, and the region offers a variety of opportunities for hiking and mountain trips, at all levels of challenge.

At Aunfjellet you get maximum view for a minimum of effort, and from Gangsåstoppen you get a great view of the city center. If you only want to walk of well prepared forest tracks we recommend Folkeparken, only two km out of the city center, and here you can even stop for a while in one of the traditional shelters which are placed around in the park.
