Bakgården Junior

About

On Saturday 19 August, Bakgården JUNIOR opens with Bakgårdskattene - and a concert with Emma!

We continue the success with our family event, which is now called Bakgården JUNIOR. Thanks to our wonderful sponsors - Sparebank 68° Nord and Nordkraft - Bakgården Junior is FREE for everyone under 12!

Bakgården Junior offers a family musical with Mirre and Max, a concert with Emma, our traditional Junior Market, and lots of fun and cool activities!

Emma Gunnarsen made her debut as an artist at the age of 8, and at the age of 14 already has a long career in the music industry. With older brothers Marcus & Martinus as role models and supporters, Emma has received many good tips along the way. In 2016, Emma had great success with the Christmas song "Angels in the snow", the music video has been viewed a whopping 23 million times on YouTube. Five years later, she has released her first song in English, "This & That" and with a modern pop sound she proves once again that she is a promising star among Norwegian artists. An English song has been in great demand and long-awaited by the fans. It is not only in Norway that Emma has fans, they are spread all over Europe.

When Emma isn't traveling to perform or in the studio, she goes to school, dances and hangs out with friends. She loves to perform and entertain, and is a creative girl with lots of energy. With a whopping 230,000 followers on Instagram, 110,000 followers on YouTube and over 500,000 followers on TikTok, Emma has already built up huge platforms despite her young age. We are very much looking forward to getting the super talented Emma to Harstad and Bakgården Junior!

In addition to the concert with Emma, we will of course have a happy reunion with the world's best backyard cats - Mirre and Max! We at Bakgården are so proud to have a completely self-produced family musical! "Bakgårdkatter - cat or treasure" is a collaboration between Bakgården and Harstad's favorite children's musician Harald Troøyen. The story of the Backyard Cats was the idea of festival manager Jan, and the cats Mirre and Max are named after two cats he had when he was a little boy. Harald, one of the two behind Det store Julespillet, is responsible for the text, music and script for Bakgårdskatter. - 38 minutes is just the right length for quite young children to be able to stay focused. In those minutes, we will frighten, surprise, delight, dance and sing, says Troøyen, who herself laments the role of cat catcher. Even this year, the backyard cats Mirre and Max cannot be safe from the furious cat catcher Katze. Is he coming on August 19? And does he have his secret weapon with him?
