About
"An island never goes under, although it trembles, it is unshakable and eternal, locked in the globe itself."
Roy Jacobsen's depiction of life on a small island in the middle of the ocean gap at the beginning of the 20th century harvested glittering reviews when the book came out in 2013. It is a story of survival, of the sea, and of life in the north. It is in many ways our story, and it belongs to the scene here in Harstad Kulturhus.
