Emma Steinbakken is rock ready for Bakgården on Friday 18 August!

Emma Steinbakken broke through overnight in October 2018, when she released her debut single "Not Gonna Cry", which has been played more than 23 million times on Spotify. A fantastic live debut at bylarm a few months later sparked the interest of a whole music industry and Emma got the opportunity to tour and promote her music around Europe until the pandemic.

Even though the pandemic stopped most of the traveling and the tournament, the now 19-year-old Emma has finished high school in the two years, managed to become number 1 on Spotify and the singles list here at home with "I will never forget you". She has released several songs of her own and collaborated with Matoma, Alan Walker, Robert Grace and most recently with Broiler and Kamelen. Then Emma and everyone else finally got out on the road again this summer and have followed up with their own tour in autumn 2022, which, among other things, sold out the Parkteateret in Oslo.

In October, Emma released "Can't Fight This Feeling", the first single from her debut album, which will be released in 2023. More singles will follow throughout the spring.

Emma has also taken part in this year's edition of Hver Gang Vi Møtes on TV2, which premiered on 1 January 2023. The young artist has really impressed with his lovely interpretations of, among other things, Floden by Bjørn Eidsvåg. Emma's version of the song went viral and has been one of the reasons for the programme's record week.
