As many as 40 percent of all people who were burned at the stake in Norway in the 1600s, was burned in Nordland, Troms and Finnmark.
The newest registered woman who was accused, condemned and burned for witchcraft was Johanne Nilsdotter in Borkenes Troms.
In this performance we meet, among others, Hans Egede, Gertrude Fast, Johanne and her demon.
