Márkomeannu is a cultural and music festival organized in the market areas of Ofoten and South Troms in the end of July each year.
Translated into Norwegian means Márkomeannu "spetakkel i marka".

The festival has a clear Sami profile; It will promote landmark culture, but at the same time also be a cultural actor of the whole Sápmi. Márkomeannu wants to be identity-creating for people of all ages, yet emphasis is placed on a special youth profile.

Over the years, the festival has become an important part, also symbolic, for local youth, by revealing that Sami culture can be valuable.
