Sæskrímslin, a magnificent outdoor performance, breathes life into Icelandic sea monsters from ancient legends.

These mythical creatures are not only living reminders of ancient legends, but also messengers warning us about the precarious state of the seas and the earth.

Experience puppet theater on a grand scale, complete with circus arts, acrobatics, high stunts, and soundscapes with Harstad harbor as the backdrop. The show premieres during the Reykjavík Arts Festival and then comes directly to Harstad. The circus group Hringleikur, in collaboration with Pilkington Props, is responsible for this feast.

Hringleikur Circus Company has been at the forefront of the Icelandic circus scene in recent years and has produced various circus shows, both indoors and outdoors, as well as actively working towards developing the field of circus arts in Iceland. Pilkington Props is a unique design studio in Iceland that specializes in designing and producing props, puppets, and prosthetics in various sizes.
