About
Radiohead in ILIOS format
The album "Kid A" by British Radiohead is an album that is often referred to as one of the greatest records of the 2000s by Rolling Stone Magazine and Pitchfork, among others. You have surely heard some of the songs from the album "Kid A". For example, "The National Anthem", the music NRK uses every time they promote the Bislett Games or other big events. Now you can experience this cult album recycled by the British string quintet Wooden Elephant.
The quintet has specialized in creating their own variations on famous pop and rock albums. They do so with great excess and an unparalleled musical capacity. In addition to their stringed instruments, they also use everything from children's toys to kitchen utensils. At ILIOS 2023 you get to meet them up close in Galleri Nord-Norge
Wooden Elephant was started in 2017 when the members met at a German festival, and the chemistry was immediate. Coincidence would have it that the European members of the ensemble are all inspired by the British band Radiohead, and this was the start of Wooden Elephant, a phenomenon that has become a talk among creative people in the music world.
Wooden Elephant has also performed Björk's "Homogenic" and Beyonce's "Lemonade". Currently they are working with Aphex Twin's Drukqs.
Wooden Elephant consists of:
